Terminology management compact seminar (2 days)

The 2-day itl compact seminar Terminology Management focuses on the “information molecules” of technical documentation: the technical terms (also known as terms). You will learn the basics of terminology work, always with a view to its use in the field of technical documentation and also across departments.
 
Participants will receive a professionally usable Excel spreadsheet for initializing terminology work. The seminar is rounded off with a look at the various terminology solutions and systems for authoring support.
 
The terminology seminar is specially designed for practitioners who do not come from a linguistic background.
 
At the beginning, the lecturer introduces the technical terms used in terminology work.
 
In-house training can also take place at your company.

Technical editors and technical translators as well as anyone who works in technical documentation and plans documentation projects.

Terminology management compact seminar is specially prepared for practitioners who do not come from a linguistic background.

Basic experience in technical documentation is helpful, but not necessary.
 
  • Own laptop and PDF viewer with comment function (Adobe Reader recommended). The PDF display in the browser is inadequate and only intended for displaying pages.

 For online seminars additionally:

  1.  Own laptop with audio and video
  2.  MS Teams client
  3.  Internet connection with at least 25 MB/s (preferably LAN connection)
Please register at least two weeks before the date to ensure that everything runs smoothly. If you miss this deadline, registration is possible on request in exceptional cases.
